Val, spinning in front of the mirror: Does this outfit look beautiful on me, Mommy?
Me: Yes it does. *pause* It doesn't matter what you wear, though, you're always beautiful.
Val: I know, Mom. I'm always beautiful to you just like YOU'RE always beautiful to DADDY.
LOVE:). Now let's hope our girls remember this and believe it when they're 14!!
